The MUELLER STREAMLINE COT4 is a 4-inch copper tee fitting designed for use in continuous pipeline systems that require a branch connection in a different direction. Manufactured from ASTM B75 Alloy C12200 copper, this fitting features solder cup (C x C x C) end connections and meets lead-free requirements. It carries third-party certification to NSF/ANSI 61 Annex G, making it suitable for potable water and medical gas applications. Compliance with ASME B16.22, MSS SP-104, MSS SP-109, and NFPA 99 supports its use across a wide range of commercial and healthcare piping systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this fitting.
This tee is suited for both residential and commercial plumbing installations as well as healthcare facility piping, including medical gas and vacuum systems meeting NFPA 99 requirements. Its compliance with the Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet G4.1 also qualifies it for medical oxygen and other compressed gas distribution. The solder cup end style integrates cleanly into copper piping runs wherever a branch takeoff is needed, whether in a mechanical room, overhead rough-in, or wall cavity.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for 4-inch copper piping systems using sweat-solder connections in plumbing, medical gas, and compressed gas distribution applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or certified medical gas installer in accordance with applicable local codes, the IPC, and NFPA 99 where medical gas systems are involved. Shut off and depressurize the supply line completely before cutting into the existing piping. Clean and flux all mating surfaces before applying heat; use only lead-free solder where required by code. Medical gas installations require inspection and certification by a qualified verifier before system commissioning.
