The MUELLER STREAMLINE CORED11234 is a wrot copper reducing coupling designed to connect a larger-diameter tube to a smaller-diameter tube using sweat (C x C) end connections. Rated to 700 psi, it features solder cups on both ends for standard soldering procedures. The fitting is manufactured from ASTM B75 Alloy C12200 copper and is lead-free and dezincification resistant, making it suitable for potable water, medical gas, and other demanding service applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in copper tubing systems across residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC, and medical gas piping.
This coupling is appropriate for use in residential and commercial copper piping systems where a 1-1/2 inch line must transition down to 3/4 inch tubing. It is third-party certified to NSF/ANSI 61 Annex G for drinking water system components and meets ASME B16.22, MSS SP-104, MSS SP-109, and NFPA 99 for health care facilities gas and vacuum systems, as well as the Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet G4.1 for medical gas applications. Its domestic manufacture and recognized certifications make it well suited for jobs requiring documented compliance.
Designed as an OEM-style wrot copper reducing coupling for 1-1/2 inch to 3/4 inch C x C copper tube connections in plumbing, HVAC, and medical gas piping systems built to ASME B16.22 and MSS SP-104 standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and NFPA 99 requirements for medical gas applications. Shut off the water or gas supply and depressurize and drain the line completely before cutting and fitting. Clean and flux all mating surfaces according to standard sweat-soldering practice before applying heat. Do not overheat the fitting, as excessive temperature can damage the solder joint and degrade flux residue inside the line.
