Product Description

The MUELLER STREAMLINE CORED1121 is a wrot copper reducing coupling with a C x C (solder cup) end style, designed to connect a larger-diameter tube to a smaller-diameter tube in a single inline fitting. Nominal size is 1-1/2 inches by 1 inch. The fitting is manufactured from ASTM B75 Alloy C12200 copper and carries a lead-free designation, making it suitable for potable water, medical gas, and other sensitive fluid systems. Third-party certification to NSF/ANSI 61 Annex G is included. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters working in residential, commercial, and healthcare piping systems are the primary installers.

This reducing coupling is used wherever a transition from 1-1/2 inch tubing down to 1 inch tubing is required without the use of an additional adapter. Typical applications include domestic water distribution, hydronic piping, compressed medical gas systems, and vacuum systems in healthcare facilities. The fitting meets NFPA 99 requirements for healthcare gas and vacuum systems as well as Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet G4.1 for medical gas service, making it appropriate for sterile and critical-environment installations.

Compatibility

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes, ASME B16.22, and NFPA 99 where medical gas service applies. Shut off and drain the water or gas supply completely before cutting into the existing line. Clean and flux all mating tube ends per standard sweat-soldering procedure, and use only lead-free solder where potable or medical gas service is involved. Do not substitute compression or push-fit fittings in systems requiring certified sweat connections under NFPA 99.
