The MUELLER STREAMLINE COCOUPLS1 is a 1-inch wrot copper coupling less stop, designed for solder-joint (C x C) connections in copper tube systems. With no internal stop, this repair coupling allows a technician to slide the fitting freely along tubing to bridge a cut or damaged section without obstruction. Solder cups on both ends accept standard copper tubing for a clean, reliable joint. The fitting is lead-free and manufactured from ASTM B75 Alloy C12200 dezincification-resistant copper, meeting third-party certification requirements under NSF/ANSI 61 Annex G. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors install this fitting in potable water, hydronic, and medical gas piping systems.
This coupling is suited for residential and commercial plumbing repairs, hydronic heating lines, and medical gas distribution systems. Its no-stop design makes it the correct choice when a repair splice must be made mid-run without removing additional pipe length. The fitting meets ASME B16.22, MSS SP-104, MSS SP-109 (sections 5 through 8), and NFPA 99 requirements for health care facility gas and vacuum systems, as well as Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet G4.1 for medical gas applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and repair fitting for 1-inch nominal copper tube systems using standard C x C solder-joint connections in potable water, hydronic, and medical gas piping applications.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASME B16.22 standards. Shut off the water supply and fully depressurize and drain the affected line before cutting or soldering. Clean tubing ends and fitting cups thoroughly with emery cloth and apply flux before soldering; never solder on a wet line. For medical gas systems, follow NFPA 99 brazed-joint requirements and applicable facility protocols, which typically require a certified medical gas installer.
