The MUELLER STREAMLINE COCOUP212 is a wrot copper coupling with a dimpled tube stop, designed to join two lengths of copper tubing in a soldered connection. Built to a 700 psi pressure rating, this fitting uses solder cups on both ends for a C x C (copper-to-copper) joint. It complies with ASME B16.22 and MSS SP-104 dimensional standards and is third-party certified to NSF/ANSI 61 Annex G, making it suitable for potable water and medical gas applications. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors install this fitting in residential and commercial copper piping systems.
This coupling is used wherever two straight runs of 2-1/2-inch copper tube must be joined end-to-end. The dimpled tube stop ensures consistent insertion depth and uniform solder joint geometry, which is especially important in larger-diameter applications where alignment matters. The fitting carries compliance with NFPA 99 Health Care Facilities Gas and Vacuum Systems and Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet G4.1, making it appropriate for medical gas piping installations in addition to standard plumbing and HVAC hydronic systems. It is manufactured domestically and is rated lead-free per applicable standards.
Designed as an OEM-style sweat fitting for 2-1/2-inch nominal copper tube in C x C configurations, suitable for potable water, HVAC hydronic, and medical gas piping systems where NSF/ANSI 61 and NFPA 99 compliance is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off and drain the system before cutting and fitting any sections of pipe. Clean all mating surfaces with emery cloth and apply flux before soldering; follow lead-free solder requirements for any potable water or medical gas application. For medical gas piping, additional qualification and documentation requirements under NFPA 99 apply.
