The MUELLER STREAMLINE CO90LRED3412 is a 3/4 inch by 1/2 inch copper 90-degree reducing elbow with a cup-by-cup (C x C) end style designed for sweat-soldered copper piping systems. The fitting features solder cups and a close rough radius, allowing a 90-degree change in pipeline direction where flow velocity is not a limiting factor. Fabricated from ASTM B75 Alloy C12200 copper, this fitting is lead-free and dezincification resistant. It is third-party certified to NSF/ANSI 61 Annex G, making it suitable for potable water applications. Plumbers and mechanical contractors install this fitting in both residential and commercial copper piping systems.
This reducing elbow is used in copper water supply and distribution systems where a direction change and a size reduction from 3/4 inch to 1/2 inch are needed at the same connection point. It is appropriate for domestic water service, HVAC hydronic piping, and medical gas systems. The fitting meets NFPA 99 requirements for health care facility gas and vacuum systems and complies with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet G4.1 for medical gas applications, making it a versatile choice across a range of plumbing and mechanical installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-service copper sweat fitting compatible with 3/4 inch by 1/2 inch C x C copper tubing connections in potable water, hydronic, and medical gas piping systems conforming to ASME B16.22 and MSS SP-104 standards.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified mechanical contractors following applicable IPC and IFGC code requirements for the specific piping system type. Shut off and drain the water supply before cutting and fitting. Clean and flux all mating copper surfaces per the solder manufacturer instructions before applying heat. For medical gas applications, installation must comply with NFPA 99 and be performed by personnel qualified for that work.
