The MUELLER STREAMLINE CO90LRED134 is a copper 90-degree reducing elbow designed for sweat-connect (C x C) copper pipe systems. It transitions from a 1-inch inlet to a 3/4-inch outlet while making a full 90-degree directional change in a single fitting. Used in potable water supply, hydronic heating, and general plumbing distribution lines, this fitting is installed by licensed plumbers and skilled mechanical contractors. The copper construction provides reliable corrosion resistance and compatibility with standard soldering techniques.
This reducing elbow is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications where a direction change and pipe size reduction are required at the same connection point. Typical installation scenarios include branch takeoffs from main supply lines, riser transitions, and fixture supply runs where flow must be redirected and reduced simultaneously. The C x C end configuration accepts standard copper tubing on both the 1-inch and 3/4-inch ends.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for copper pipe plumbing systems using 1-inch and 3/4-inch nominal copper tubing with sweat-connect joints.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off and drain the water supply before cutting into any existing line. Clean and flux both pipe ends and fitting sockets thoroughly before applying heat; use lead-free solder where required by code for potable water systems. Do not overheat the fitting, as excessive heat can damage the copper or cause solder to wick away from the joint.
