The MUELLER STREAMLINE CO90LRED1121 is a copper 90-degree reducing elbow designed for sweat-solder (C x C) copper pipe connections. It transitions from a 1.5-inch inlet to a 1-inch outlet, making a right-angle directional change while stepping down pipe size in a single fitting. Plumbers and pipefitters use this type of fitting in residential and light commercial water distribution, hydronic heating, and refrigeration piping systems where a line must change direction and reduce simultaneously.
This fitting is suited for potable water supply lines, hot and cold distribution systems, and hydronic loops where a 90-degree turn and a reduction from 1.5 inches to 1 inch are needed in one connection point. It is installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and experienced mechanical contractors working on copper pipe systems. The C x C end connections accept standard copper tube ends prepared for soldering.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for copper pipe systems using standard 1.5-inch and 1-inch nominal copper tube sizes joined by sweat-solder connections.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter following IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and drain the water supply before cutting into any existing line. Thoroughly clean and flux both the pipe ends and fitting sockets before applying heat, and use lead-free solder for any potable water application. Allow the joint to cool completely before restoring system pressure.
