The MUELLER STREAMLINE ae15504 is a straight-through pressure relief valve rated at 300 psi, designed for air and fluorinated refrigerant service in commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. The brass body houses a stainless steel spring, neoprene seat disc, and copper gasket, delivering durable, leak-resistant performance across a wide temperature range of -40 to 300 degrees F. At 4.2 inches in length and a flow rate of 25.4 lb/min, this valve provides high discharge capacity in a compact form factor. Each unit is individually tested and hand calibrated before leaving the factory.
The ae15504 is engineered for installation on liquid receivers above the liquid level in refrigeration systems. Its 1/2 x 5/8 inch NPTFE x flared end connections make it suitable for copper line set installations common in commercial refrigeration and HVAC applications. Compatible with all fluorinated refrigerants, it fits into systems where reliable pressure protection and certified discharge capacity are required. Discharge rates are certified by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors, meeting recognized industry safety standards.
Designed for installation on liquid receivers above the liquid level in systems using fluorinated refrigerants. The 1/2 x 5/8 inch NPTFE x flared connections are suitable for copper line set assemblies in commercial refrigeration and HVAC installations.
This valve should be installed by a licensed HVAC or refrigeration technician in accordance with applicable mechanical codes and local jurisdictional requirements. Always recover refrigerant and depressurize the system before removing or replacing a relief valve. Mount the valve above the liquid level on the receiver as required for proper operation. Do not cap or obstruct the discharge outlet after installation.
