The MUELLER STREAMLINE ADP01067 is a wrought copper adapter fitting designed to transition between a copper sweat connection and a male pipe thread (MPT) end. At 2.34 inches in length, this adapter provides a compact, reliable joint in potable water, hydronic, and general plumbing piping systems. The C x MPT configuration means one end is soldered onto copper tubing while the other threads into a female-threaded fitting or valve body. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of adapter wherever a sweat copper line must terminate at a threaded connection point.
This adapter is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations. It is commonly used when connecting copper supply lines to threaded valves, manifolds, or equipment ports. The 1-5/8 inch sweat end accommodates standard ACR or plumbing copper tubing, and the 1-1/2 inch MPT end threads into compatible female NPT fittings. It fits into tight spaces due to its compact overall length.
Designed as an OEM-style copper sweat-to-male-thread adapter for use in residential and commercial plumbing and HVAC piping systems where a C x MPT transition fitting is required. Listed under Mueller supersession reference W01179.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off and depressurize the water or fluid system and allow all piping to cool completely before soldering. Clean and flux both the copper tube end and the fitting socket per standard sweat-solder practice before applying heat. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MPT threads before assembling to the female-threaded port.
