Product Description

The MUELLER STREAMLINE ABSCLORINGHADJ44 is a 4-inch ABS DWV adjustable closet flange with a plastic coated steel flange and a hub connection. Closet flanges anchor to the subfloor and provide the mechanical and sanitary connection point between a toilet and the drain-waste-vent piping system below. The adjustable design allows the flange height to be set to match finished floor elevation, making it suitable for installations where tile, hardwood, or other flooring raises the finished surface above the rough-in pipe. Rated for service temperatures from -40 degrees F to 180 degrees F. Licensed plumbers install this fitting as part of a DWV rough-in or toilet reset.

This closet flange is intended for use in residential DWV systems where 4-inch ABS pipe is specified. It is appropriate for both new construction rough-in and retrofit toilet installations where the existing flange must be replaced or raised to meet finished floor height. The hub connection accepts 4-inch ABS pipe with solvent cement. The plastic coated steel ring provides a durable surface for toilet bolt slots and resists corrosion in wet subfloor environments.

Installation Notes

Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and flush the toilet before removing any existing flange. Solvent-cement all ABS hub joints per ASTM D2235 procedures and allow full cure time before pressure testing. Do not test or use this fitting with compressed air or any other gas medium.
