The MUELLER STREAMLINE 01420500c is a pre-insulated suction line designed for refrigerant line set installations in split-system HVAC applications. It features a 7/8-inch copper tube diameter with a 1/2-inch elastomeric foam insulation wall rated at R3, wrapped in a Duraguard polymeric outer jacket engineered for UV, abrasion, solar, and weather resistance. The 50-foot coil length suits most residential and light commercial installations. Licensed HVAC technicians install this product as part of a split-system line set run between the condensing unit and the air handler or evaporator coil. The Duraguard jacket extends insulation service life in exposed outdoor runs where standard foam insulation degrades from sun exposure.
This suction line is suited for residential and light commercial split-system air conditioning and heat pump installations where the line set is exposed to direct sunlight, outdoor weather, or physical contact. Typical applications include rooftop runs, exterior wall chases, and ground-level installations where mechanical damage and UV degradation are common failure points. The 50-foot length accommodates standard condensing unit placements without splicing. It ships as a single coil and is intended for installations where the suction line is run without an additional line set cover or conduit.
Designed as an OEM-style suction line for residential and light commercial split-system air conditioning and heat pump line set applications requiring a 7/8-inch outside diameter suction tube.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power and recover any system refrigerant before cutting or connecting the suction line. Follow local mechanical codes and the equipment manufacturer guidelines for brazing, flaring, or fitting connections. Do not kink the copper tube during uncoiling; use a tubing bender where directional changes are required.
