The MSI PRODUCTS INC A38700322.5 is a Schedule 80 seamless pipe nipple machined from 304 stainless steel, sized at 2 inches nominal diameter by 2.5 inches in length. Seamless construction eliminates weld seams, reducing potential failure points and promoting smoother internal flow. NPT threads are precision-cut on both ends to ASME B1.20.1 standards, producing leak-tight connections under elevated pressure. The 304 stainless alloy resists rust, oxidation, and chemical corrosion in both indoor and outdoor service environments. This fitting is manufactured to ASTM A312/SA312 specifications and is pressure tested for integrity. It is installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians.
This nipple is suited for chemical processing, water treatment, and general industrial piping systems where higher pressures and corrosive media demand a stronger, weld-free fitting. The heavier Schedule 80 wall thickness provides greater pressure capacity compared to Schedule 40, making it appropriate for critical service lines carrying pressurized gases, caustic chemicals, or process liquids. Each fitting includes full lot code traceability for quality assurance, and production takes place in an ISO 9001:2000 certified facility.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 stainless steel piping systems using standard NPT threaded connections in chemical processing, water treatment, and industrial piping applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable codes such as the International Plumbing Code or ASME B31.3 for process piping. Isolate and fully depressurize the piping system before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the service medium to the male NPT threads before assembly. Do not over-torque threaded connections; follow applicable code guidelines for joint makeup on stainless steel fittings to avoid galling the threads.
