The MSI PRODUCTS INC A29700164.5 is a Schedule 80 black carbon steel seamless nipple designed to connect two female-threaded components in high-pressure piping systems. Manufactured from ASTM A53 Grade B seamless steel pipe, it features increased wall thickness for added strength and durability compared to Schedule 40. The threaded-both-ends design conforms to ASME B1.20.1 standards, ensuring consistent fit and leak-resistant connections. Rated from 1900 to 8600 psi depending on temperature and application, this nipple suits demanding industrial, mechanical, and commercial plumbing installations. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers.
This nipple measures 1 inch nominal pipe size with a 4.5-inch length and is used in higher-pressure piping applications including steam, oil, gas, and industrial fluid systems. It is well suited for system assembly, field repairs, and spacing adjustments where a reliable, traceable steel fitting is required. Each piece includes full lot traceability with material test reports available upon request, supporting quality assurance and compliance documentation requirements common in commercial and industrial projects.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 black steel piping systems using 1-inch nominal pipe size connections with ASME B1.20.1 NPT threads.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable mechanical and plumbing codes, including IPC and IFGC requirements where applicable. Depressurize and isolate the affected piping segment completely before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply a thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the service medium and pressure to all male threads before assembly. Do not over-tighten threaded connections, as this can damage threads or cause stress cracking in adjacent fittings.
