The MSI PRODUCTS INC A29700122.0 is a Schedule 80 black carbon steel seamless nipple manufactured for use in high-pressure piping systems. Threaded on both ends per ASME B1.20.1, it connects two female-threaded components to provide a rigid, leak-resistant joint. Made from ASTM A53 Grade B seamless steel pipe, the Schedule 80 wall thickness delivers greater strength than standard Schedule 40 pipe, making this nipple suitable for demanding service conditions. Nominal pipe size is 3/4 inch with a 2-inch overall length. Working pressure ranges from 1,900 to 6,600 psi depending on service conditions. Full lot traceability is maintained, and material test reports are available upon request.
This nipple is used in commercial and industrial piping assemblies where higher-pressure service, system repairs, or close-quarter spacing adjustments require a short, durable threaded extension. Typical applications include steam, water, oil, and gas distribution lines where Schedule 80 material specifications are required or called out by engineering or code. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors working on process piping, fire suppression headers, and utility distribution systems are the primary installers of this component.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for 3/4 inch female NPT-threaded fittings, valves, and equipment connections in Schedule 80 piping systems.
Installation of this nipple should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable mechanical and plumbing codes such as the IPC or ASME B31 piping standards. Isolate and depressurize the piping system fully before removing any existing fittings or threading in this nipple. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the intended service medium before making up the joint. Do not overtighten, as excessive torque can crack fittings or distort threads.
