The MSI PRODUCTS INC A2010608 is a 150 LB black malleable iron 90-degree street elbow designed for threaded piping systems where a change in flow direction is required. The fitting features one male-threaded end and one female-threaded end, allowing direct connection between components without the need for a coupling. This eliminates an extra fitting in the line, reducing potential leak points and simplifying the assembly. Built to a heavy-pattern design, it conforms to ASME B16.3 dimensional standards, ASTM A197 material specifications, and ASME B1.20.1 threading standards. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on gas, steam, and water distribution systems are the primary installers.
This street elbow is suited for residential and light commercial threaded piping applications including gas distribution, steam lines, and water supply systems operating within the rated pressure range of 150 to 300 psi. The 0.5-inch nominal thread size makes it a common choice for branch connections, riser assemblies, and close-quarter directional changes where standard elbow-and-coupling combinations would add unnecessary bulk. Each fitting carries full lot traceability with material test reports available upon request, supporting quality assurance and compliance documentation requirements. It is manufactured in an ISO-certified facility.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 0.5-inch NPT threaded piping systems in residential and commercial gas, steam, and water distribution applications rated at 150 LB class.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable plumbing and mechanical codes such as the IPC and IFGC. Shut off and depressurize the piping system completely before removing any existing fittings or making new connections. Apply an approved thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly and tighten to a wrench-tight fit. Pressure-test the completed assembly per local code requirements before returning the system to service.
