The MOORE SUPPLY CO 9806-012 is a 90-degree elbow fitting made from CPVC Schedule 80 material, designed for use in pressurized hot and cold water distribution, chemical handling, and industrial piping systems. The socket-by-socket (SxS) end connections accept solvent cement for a reliable, leak-resistant joint. With a 1-inch nominal pipe size, this fitting is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications where higher pressure ratings and temperature resistance beyond standard CPVC Schedule 40 are required. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this type of fitting.
This elbow is used to redirect flow at a 90-degree angle within CPVC Schedule 80 piping systems. It is commonly found in domestic hot and cold water lines, industrial process piping, and chemical distribution systems where elevated temperatures or pressures demand the added wall thickness of Schedule 80 construction. It is appropriate for both above-ground and in-wall installations where CPVC is the specified material.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting compatible with 1-inch CPVC Schedule 80 piping systems using solvent cement socket connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber following local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into any existing piping. Use only CPVC-rated solvent cement and primer approved for Schedule 80 fittings, and allow full cure time before restoring pressure. Do not use this fitting with PVC pipe or fittings, as CPVC and PVC solvent cements and pressure ratings are not interchangeable.
