The MOLDEX 7100 is an organic vapor respirator cartridge designed to protect workers from harmful vapors encountered in agricultural, dry cleaning, laboratory, and manufacturing environments. The cartridge uses an activated carbon filter medium to adsorb organic vapor contaminants before they reach the user's breathing zone. It is NIOSH-approved under TC-23C-2514, TC-23C-2520, and TC-23C-3060 and carries a black color code per standard respirator cartridge identification conventions. Installation is straightforward and tool-free, making it a practical choice for safety supervisors, industrial hygienists, and trade professionals managing respiratory protection programs on active job sites.
The MOLDEX 7100 cartridge is suited for use in residential and commercial settings where organic vapor exposure is a documented hazard. Typical applications include pesticide handling in agriculture, solvent vapor exposure in dry cleaning operations, chemical lab work, and solvent-based processes in manufacturing. The cartridge is sold in a package of two units, making it practical for stocking and compliance recordkeeping.
The MOLDEX 7100 is compatible with the 7000 and 7800 Series Respirators, the 7920 Piggyback Adapter, the 7940 Filter Disk, the 7940 Particulate Filter, the 8910 Pre-Filter with 7020 Retainer, and the 8970 Pre-Filter with 7020 Retainer. It is also compatible with the 7000, 7800, and 9000 respirator series.
Respirator cartridges should be installed and replaced by a qualified person following the employer's written respiratory protection program, as required under applicable occupational safety regulations. Power down or disable any equipment in the immediate work area before performing cartridge replacement in hazardous environments. Inspect the cartridge and respirator facepiece seal before each use and replace cartridges according to the established change schedule or whenever breakthrough odor is detected. Cartridge disposal should follow local regulations for chemical waste where applicable.
