The MITUTOYO 326-351-30 is an electronic screw thread micrometer designed for precise thread measurement in machining, manufacturing, and quality-control environments. It covers a measurement range of 0 to 1 inch with a graduation of 0.00005 inches and an accuracy of 0.0002 inches, making it suitable for high-tolerance inspection work. The instrument features a digital counter display and data output capability, allowing readings to be transmitted directly to a compatible data-collection system. A ratchet stop thimble ensures consistent measuring force across repeated measurements. The satin chrome finish resists corrosion and reduces glare during use. Machinists, metrologists, and quality technicians are the primary users of this instrument.
The 326-351-30 is used in applications where thread pitch and form must be verified to tight tolerances, including incoming inspection, in-process gauging, and final acceptance testing. The interchangeable anvil design allows the micrometer to be configured for different thread profiles and pitches. A thread pitch of 0.5 mm is supported. The instrument ships with a plastic storage case and carries an IP65 ingress protection rating, making it suitable for use on the shop floor where coolant and particulate exposure are common.
Designed for use with interchangeable anvils suited to screw thread measurement applications; specific compatible anvils are sold separately and not included with this unit.
This instrument is used by machinists and quality technicians and requires no installation in the traditional sense, but proper calibration and zeroing procedures should be followed before use per the manufacturer documentation. Store the micrometer in the included plastic case when not in use to protect the measuring faces and electronics. Do not overtighten the spindle against the workpiece; use the ratchet stop thimble exclusively to apply measuring force. Clean measuring faces with a lint-free cloth before each use to prevent measurement error.
