The MITUTOYO 06AFM380B is a remote data collection cable designed to connect a Digimatic Micrometer to a data collection device or compatible interface. At 80 inches in overall length, it provides enough reach to route cleanly from a benchtop micrometer to a nearby SPC data logger or computer interface without strain on the connector. The cable enables real-time dimensional data capture, reducing manual transcription errors in quality control and inspection workflows. It is used by metrology technicians, machinists, and quality assurance professionals who need reliable data output from handheld or bench-mounted Digimatic measuring tools.
This cable is suited for use in precision measurement environments such as machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and inspection labs. It connects a Digimatic Micrometer to an SPC data collection system, allowing measurement values to be recorded directly into software without manual entry. The 80-inch length accommodates typical benchtop and floor-level inspection station layouts.
Designed for use with Digimatic Micrometer models equipped with a standard Digimatic output port. No additional compatible model numbers were specified in the product data.
Installation is performed by metrology or quality assurance technicians. Power down or disable any connected data collection device before connecting or disconnecting the cable to avoid data errors or port damage. Seat the connector firmly at both the micrometer and the receiving device before initiating a data collection session. Do not force the connector or bend the cable sharply near the ends, as this can damage the internal conductors.
