The MITSUBISHI 662995 is a carbide extra length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding metalworking applications. Measuring 0.3320 inches (8.43 mm) in diameter with a 140-degree drill point angle and a TiAlN coating, this bit delivers heat resistance and extended tool life in tough materials. The helical flute geometry and X-thinning point design reduce thrust load and improve chip evacuation. At 5.0600 inches overall length with a 2.7360-inch flute length, it handles deeper reach applications where standard-length bits fall short. Coolant-through capability supports high-feed operations in production environments. Licensed machinists, tool and die setters, and CNC operators are the primary users.
This drill bit is engineered for cross hole drilling, stack drilling, and general through-hole drilling operations. Its primary workpiece material classification is steel (ISO code P), with secondary suitability for stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, structural steel, tempered steel, hardened steel, cast iron, carbon steel, high strength bronze, copper, brass, aluminum, and aluminum alloys. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio makes it well suited for applications requiring extended reach beyond standard jobber lengths in both manual and CNC setups.
