The MITSUBISHI 662813 is a solid carbide extra length drill bit engineered for high-performance and high-precision drilling applications. It carries a TiAlN coating and measures 0.4531 inches (29/64 inch) in diameter with an overall length of 4.8860 inches. The helical, right-hand flute geometry runs 2.4450 inches and is paired with an X-Thinned web at a 140-degree drill point for improved chip evacuation and reduced thrust force. Coolant-through capability supports extended tool life in demanding production environments. This bit is sized in the MVS series with a parallel web configuration and cylindrical shank, making it well suited for machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and CNC operators working with tight-tolerance bores.
The 662813 is designed for cross hole drilling, standard drilling, and stack drilling operations. Its primary workpiece material designation is steel (ISO code P), with secondary material compatibility covering stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, structural steel, tempered steel, iron, high-strength bronze, hardened steel, copper, cast iron, carbon steel, bronze, brass, aluminum, and aluminum alloy. This range of material compatibility makes it a practical all-around bit for job shops and production floors handling mixed-material workflows.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machine tools accepting a cylindrical shank. Suitable for cross hole, standard, and stack drilling operations across steel, stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron, brass, bronze, copper, and related alloys per ISO material codes P, M, K, and N.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the cylindrical shank in a properly sized collet or drill chuck before operation and verify runout before beginning a cut. Activate coolant-through flow prior to engaging the workpiece when using through-coolant capability. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use, and replace the bit if edge integrity is compromised to avoid workpiece damage or tool breakage.
