Product Description

The MITSUBISHI 10634851 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for very small hole drilling and deep hole drilling in demanding production environments. Built to Series DVAS specifications, it features a TiAlN coating, a 139-degree drill point with X-Thinning geometry, and a right-hand spiral flute configuration. The nominal diameter is 2.00 mm (0.0787 inches), with an overall length of 3.5827 inches. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and heat control in deep-hole applications. This bit is intended for use by machining professionals and toolroom technicians working with precision boring and drilling equipment.

This drill bit is suited for precision machining operations where small-diameter holes and deep reach are required. Its 20xD flute-to-diameter ratio makes it appropriate for deep hole drilling applications. Primary workpiece material is steel, and the bit is rated for secondary use in stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, titanium alloys, hardened steel, cast iron, copper, brass, aluminum, aluminum alloys, and carbon brass. It is built to ISO standards and is sold individually.

Key Features

  • Solid carbide construction for rigidity and wear resistance in hard materials
  • TiAlN coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in high-speed cutting
  • 139-degree drill point angle with X-Thinning reduces thrust and improves centering
  • Coolant-through design aids chip evacuation and temperature control in deep holes
  • 20xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports maximum drilling depth of 1.5906 inches (40.40 mm)
  • Straight-cylindrical shank with 0.1575-inch (4.00 mm) diameter for standard collet and chuck compatibility
  • Right-hand cut spiral flute with parallel web configuration

Compatibility

Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision boring equipment accepting a 4.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, titanium alloys, hardened steel, cast iron, copper, brass, aluminum, aluminum alloys, and carbon steel per Series DVAS application ratings.

Installation Notes

Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with micro-diameter tooling. Ensure the machine spindle and collet or chuck are clean and within tolerance before seating the shank to prevent runout. Power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling. When drilling deep holes, use the coolant-through feature and follow the machine tool manufacturer's recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material.
