The MITSUBISHI 10631423 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for very small hole drilling in precision machining applications. It has a 1.10 mm (0.0433 inch) cutting diameter, a 141-degree drill point angle with X-thinning geometry, and a TiAlN coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting conditions. The overall length is 50.00 mm (1.9685 inches) with a 4.00 mm (0.1575 inch) straight-cylindrical shank. It is part of the DVAS series and is intended for machinists and tool and die professionals working in production environments that require consistent micro-hole accuracy.
This drill bit is engineered for very small hole drilling in steel and a wide range of secondary workpiece materials. The 2xD flute-by-diameter ratio and 8.60 mm (0.3543 inch) spiral flute length suit it to shallow, precise through-holes and blind holes in tight-tolerance components. The coolant-through design supports chip evacuation and heat control during high-speed drilling cycles. Typical applications include precision part manufacturing, mold and die work, and aerospace or medical component machining where hole diameter accuracy at sub-millimeter scale is critical.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and precision drilling equipment equipped with collet-style toolholders accepting a 4.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, titanium alloys, iron alloys, bronze alloys, hardened steel, copper, cast iron, carbon steel, brass, aluminum, and aluminum alloys. Conforms to ISO standards.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine placed in a safe, locked-out state. Seat the shank fully in a precision collet chuck and verify runout before beginning a cut. Do not exceed the maximum drilling depth of 2.40 mm (0.0945 inch) per pass without confirming chip clearance and coolant flow. Handle micro-diameter carbide tooling with care to avoid chipping the cutting edge during setup.
