The MITSUBISHI 10542729 is a carbide extra length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding industrial and metalworking applications. Ground to a 0.2344 inch (15/64 inch) diameter with a 145-degree drill point angle and X-thinning point geometry, this bit delivers clean entry and reduced thrust in hard and abrasive materials. The TiAlN coating increases surface hardness and heat resistance for extended tool life at higher cutting speeds. At 2.6350 inches overall length with a 1.1380-inch helical flute, it is suited for applications requiring greater reach than standard-length tooling. It ships individually and is part of the MVS series.
This drill bit is engineered for cross hole drilling, stack drilling, and general drilling operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, aluminum alloy, brass, bronze, copper, carbon steel, tempered steel, hardened steel, structural steel, superalloys, and titanium. The right-hand spiral and right-hand cutting direction are standard for CNC machining centers and conventional drill presses. The 2xD flute-to-diameter ratio and maximum drilling depth of 0.5040 inches make it effective for shallow, high-precision bores in a wide range of workpiece materials. It carries an ISO specification designation and is classified for high performance and high precision grade applications.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and similar equipment capable of accepting a 0.236 inch cylindrical shank. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, aluminum alloy, brass, bronze, copper, carbon steel, tempered steel, hardened steel, structural steel, superalloys, and titanium as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with carbide cutting tools. Ensure the spindle and collet or chuck are fully powered down and secured before loading or changing the bit. Verify that the holding device is rated for the shank diameter and that runout is within acceptable tolerance before initiating a cut. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines for feed rate and spindle speed when running coated carbide tooling in the intended workpiece material.
