The MITEE-BITE 60050 is a single-wedge, machinable T-slot clamp designed for precision workholding on milling machines, machining centers, and similar CNC or manual setups. It delivers 500 pounds of holding force at 2.5 ft/lb of torque, making it suitable for light-to-medium fixturing operations where space is limited. The wedge geometry spreads clamping force uniformly across the workpiece, reducing the risk of distortion. A unique locking plate is included to prevent the clamp from backing out under vibration or cutting loads. The clamp body is machinable, allowing machinists to profile or step the contact face to match non-standard workpiece geometry.
This clamp is intended for use in T-slot tables and fixture plates where a low-profile, single-wedge solution is required. At 1.125 inches wide and 0.42 inches deep at the base, it fits into standard T-slots without requiring large clearance zones. It is well suited for production fixturing, toolroom work, and prototype setups where repeatable clamping is needed. Installation is performed by qualified machinists or fixture builders. The 8-32 mounting screw thread is compatible with standard machine screws commonly stocked in most toolrooms.
Designed as an OEM-style workholding component for use in standard T-slot tables, fixture plates, and machining center pallets that accept single-wedge style clamps.
Installation is typically performed by a machinist or fixture builder. Ensure the T-slot table or fixture plate is de-energized and the machine spindle is fully stopped before positioning or adjusting clamps. Use a calibrated torque driver or wrench to apply the specified 2.5 ft/lb torque to the 8-32 mounting screw — do not over-torque, as this can damage the locking plate or distort the clamp body. If the body requires machining to fit a specific workpiece profile, perform all material removal before installing the clamp in the fixture.
