The MITEE-BITE 33200 is a two-hole locating and positioning rail designed for precision workholding applications in machining and fixturing setups. Constructed from low carbon steel, this rail measures 3 inches in length, 0.73 inches in width, and 0.48 inches in height, making it a compact, rigid component for accurate part location on machine tables, tombstones, and fixture plates. It accepts 1/4-20 fasteners for secure mounting. An optional tungsten carbide coating can be applied to the rail surface to increase holding force where higher clamping friction is required.
This positioning rail is suited for use in CNC machining centers, milling operations, and custom fixturing environments where repeatable part location is critical. Machinists, tool and die makers, and fixture builders typically install these rails as reference or stop elements within modular workholding systems. The compact profile allows integration into tight fixture layouts without sacrificing positional accuracy.
Designed as an OEM-style locating component for use with standard inch-series modular fixturing systems that accept 1/4-20 fasteners.
Installation is typically performed by a machinist or fixture builder using standard inch-series hex keys or socket drivers. Power down and lock out all machine motion before positioning or repositioning any fixture component. Fasteners should be torqued evenly and checked for secure seating before running any workpiece. Verify part location and repeatability with an indicator before production use.
