The MITEE-BITE 10204 is a symmetrical hex clamp designed for precision workholding in machining and fixturing applications. The hex body is machined from brass and measures 5/8 inch across, with a hex height of 0.19 inches. A hardened steel stud with a 1/4-20 thread engages the T-slot or fixture plate, providing up to 800 pounds of holding force when torqued to 6.2 ft/lb. The symmetrical hex geometry allows the clamp to be indexed in multiple orientations without changing setup, making it a practical choice for repetitive fixturing work. Each package contains 10 clamps.
These hex clamps are used in machine shop environments for workholding on milling fixtures, tombstones, and modular fixturing systems. The brass hex head resists galling against aluminum and steel fixture plates. The 1/4-20 hardened steel stud with a thread length of 0.469 inches provides positive engagement in standard T-slot and tapped fixture plates. Suitable for both manual and CNC machining operations where consistent, repeatable clamping is required. Machinists and tooling setters are the primary installers.
Designed for use with standard 1/4-20 tapped fixture plates and T-slot workholding systems in manual and CNC machining setups.
Installation is performed by machining or tooling professionals. Torque the stud to 6.2 ft/lb using a calibrated torque wrench — do not exceed rated torque, as overloading can damage the brass hex body or stud threads. Ensure the fixture plate threads are clean and free of chips before engagement. De-energize or lock out any CNC axis motion before adjusting clamps during setup.
