The MILWAUKEE TOOL 48-73-1111 is a full brim construction hard hat rated Class E and built from high-density polyethylene (HDPE). It is designed for overhead impact and electrical hazard protection on active job sites. The shell measures 12.5 inches in length, 6 inches in width, and 10.2 inches in height, keeping the profile manageable while delivering full brim coverage. A 4-point adjustable suspension with quick-release functionality allows fast sizing adjustments without removing the hat. Licensed electricians, ironworkers, general contractors, and other trade professionals install and rely on this type of head protection daily in residential and commercial construction environments.
This hard hat is suited for ground-up construction, renovation, and industrial work sites where ANSI Type 1, Class E compliance is required. The full brim profile provides sun and debris protection on all sides of the head. The adjustable suspension fits head sizes ranging from 6-1/2 to 8, covering a wide range of wearers without requiring a separate sizing insert. The non-vented, non-slotted shell maintains a clean surface that accepts standard accessory attachments without compromising its structural integrity.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or first-issue hard hat for construction and industrial applications requiring ANSI Z89.1 Type 1, Class E certified head protection.
Hard hats of this type are fitted by qualified site safety personnel or the individual worker per site PPE requirements. Before fitting, inspect the shell and suspension for cracks, dents, or fraying that would compromise protection. Replace the suspension and shell according to manufacturer and OSHA 29 CFR 1926.100 guidelines, and always replace the entire assembly after any significant impact even if no visible damage is present. Do not store hard hats in direct sunlight for extended periods, as UV exposure degrades HDPE over time.
