The MILWAUKEE TOOL 48-22-8101 is a 4-piece installer tool kit designed for low-voltage cable termination and structured wiring work. The kit covers the core tasks of a data or voice cable installation: stripping outer jacket from UTP cable, crimping RJ connectors onto twisted pair cable, and terminating 110 and 66 blocks as well as keystone jacks. All three tools store in an included zippered pouch. Licensed electricians and low-voltage technicians performing voice, data, and video (VDV) rough-in or service work will find this kit covers the essential hand tools for a cable termination job.
This kit is suited for residential and light commercial structured wiring installations where UTP cable is the primary media. The UTP stripper removes the outer jacket cleanly without nicking twisted pairs. The modular crimper attaches RJ connectors, including RJ12, to terminated twisted pair cables. The impacting punchdown tool drives conductors into 110 and 66 punch-down blocks and keystone jacks with consistent impact force, reducing hand fatigue on high-count termination work. The zippered bag keeps all three tools organized and protected between jobs.
Compatible with RJ12 connectors and UTP twisted pair cable. The punchdown tool is designed for use with 110 and 66 punch-down blocks and standard keystone jacks commonly found in residential and commercial structured wiring systems.
Low-voltage technicians and licensed electricians performing VDV work should de-energize any active network or phone equipment before terminating conductors. When using the punchdown tool, follow the wiring standard specified for the installation (T568A or T568B) as defined on the keystone jack or block. Work on low-voltage cabling in commercial settings may be subject to local building codes and NEC Article 800 requirements for communications wiring.
