The MILWAUKEE TOOL 48-20-8066 is a carbide-tipped rotary hammer drill bit engineered for use with SDS-Plus rotary hammers. The spear-shaped cutting tip delivers aggressive material penetration, while the carbide-tipped construction provides durability through repeated use in masonry, concrete, and similar hard substrates. The bit measures 160mm (approximately 6.3 inches) overall length, with 110mm (approximately 4.3 inches) of usable flute length, giving the operator ample working depth for common anchor and fastener installations. The 14mm diameter is a standard size frequently specified for sleeve anchors and through-bolt applications in commercial and residential construction.
This bit is suited for licensed tradespeople and experienced contractors performing concrete drilling, masonry penetration, and anchor-setting tasks. Typical applications include electrical and mechanical rough-in work requiring concrete penetrations, structural attachment points in tilt-up or poured concrete walls, and similar tasks where a reliable SDS-Plus bit at 14mm is specified. The spear tip geometry is appropriate for rotary hammer mode drilling rather than chiseling operations.
Designed as a standard SDS-Plus shank drill bit compatible with SDS-Plus rotary hammers. Verify that your rotary hammer accepts SDS-Plus tooling before installation.
SDS-Plus bits are installed and removed by licensed or qualified tradespeople following the rotary hammer manufacturer's bit-insertion procedure — always confirm the bit is fully seated and locked before operation. Disconnect or power down the tool before changing bits. Use rotary hammer mode for drilling; do not use this bit in chisel-only or SDS-Max machines. Eye protection and dust control are required when drilling into concrete or masonry per applicable OSHA and jobsite safety standards.
