The MILWAUKEE TOOL 48-20-8054 is a carbide-tipped rotary hammer drill bit designed for use with SDS-Plus rotary hammers. It features an 11mm diameter with a spear cutting shape, making it well suited for drilling into concrete, masonry, and similar hard materials. The usable flute length is 110mm (approximately 4.33 inches) and the overall length is 160mm (approximately 6.3 inches). The carbide tip is paired with a high-speed steel body, giving the bit durability under the repeated impact cycles of rotary hammer operation. Licensed tradespeople and experienced DIYers working with SDS-Plus hammer drills will find this a direct, task-specific bit for anchor and fastener prep work.
This bit is intended for use in SDS-Plus rotary hammers on residential and light commercial jobsites. Typical applications include drilling holes for concrete anchors, masonry fasteners, and similar penetrations in poured concrete, block, or brick. The spear cutting geometry is optimized for clean, accurate entry and efficient chip removal during hammer drilling. At 11mm diameter it suits anchor sizes commonly specified in structural and mechanical trade work.
Designed for use with SDS-Plus rotary hammers. The SDS-Plus shank is an industry-standard interface compatible with SDS-Plus chuck systems across major rotary hammer platforms.
Installation and drilling should be performed by a qualified tradesperson familiar with rotary hammer operation and applicable jobsite safety requirements. Always confirm the hammer is powered off and the bit is fully seated in the SDS-Plus chuck before beginning work. Eye and hearing protection are required when operating rotary hammers in concrete or masonry. Do not use this bit in a standard drill chuck; the SDS-Plus shank requires a dedicated SDS-Plus or SDS-Plus-compatible rotary hammer chuck.
