The MILWAUKEE TOOL 48-20-8041 is a carbide-tipped rotary hammer drill bit designed for use with SDS-Plus rotary hammers. The 8mm diameter bit features a spear cutting tip ground from carbide-tipped high-speed steel, delivering consistent penetration in concrete, masonry, and similar hard substrates. With 250mm of usable flute length and a 310mm overall length, this bit handles deeper anchor and through-hole applications without a core extension. The SDS-Plus shank provides positive engagement with compatible chucks, reducing slippage under load. It is sized and constructed for repeated use in professional field conditions.
This bit is suited for residential and commercial construction, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical rough-in work where anchor holes, conduit penetrations, or sleeve penetrations through concrete or block are required. The 8mm diameter is a common size for wedge anchors, sleeve anchors, and hollow-wall applications. Licensed trades and general contractors reach for this bit when working through poured concrete, CMU block, or hard brick.
Designed for use with SDS-Plus rotary hammers. The SDS-Plus shank is an industry-standard interface compatible with SDS-Plus chucks across major rotary hammer platforms.
SDS-Plus rotary hammer drill bits are installed and removed by licensed tradespeople and experienced contractors. Always confirm the rotary hammer is unplugged or the battery removed before inserting or removing the bit. Insert the bit fully into the SDS-Plus chuck and confirm it locks before drilling. When drilling overhead or in confined spaces, use appropriate eye and respiratory protection to manage dust and debris.
