The MILWAUKEE TOOL 48-00-5553 is a carbide-tipped reciprocating saw blade engineered for cutting metal in demanding trade applications. Each blade measures 12 inches in length and 1 inch in width, with a 0.05-inch thickness and a constant 10 TPI pitch pattern that delivers consistent chip load through the cut. The straight profile and angled blade tip aid in plunge cutting and aggressive material removal. The universal shank fits virtually all reciprocating saw platforms. This pack includes five blades, making it practical for jobsite stocking. Licensed trades including plumbers, HVAC techs, and pipefitters reach for these when cutting ferrous pipe, conduit, and structural metal.
These blades are suited for medium-weight metal cutting in both residential and commercial settings. Typical applications include cutting steel pipe, EMT conduit, angle iron, and similar ferrous and non-ferrous stock. The 10 TPI constant pitch is best matched to material thicknesses in the medium range where a fine-tooth blade would clog and a coarse blade would strip. HVAC installers cutting duct supports, plumbers cutting drain or supply piping, and electricians trimming conduit will find this blade count and length appropriate for high-volume service work.
Designed for use with reciprocating saws equipped with a universal shank receiver. Compatible with metal cutting applications including ferrous pipe, conduit, angle iron, and similar medium-weight metal stock.
Blade installation and removal must be performed with the tool unplugged or the battery removed. Confirm the blade clamp or lever lock is fully seated before beginning any cut. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when changing blades or cutting metal. Discard blades that show visible cracks, missing teeth, or excessive wear rather than returning them to service.
