The MILWAUKEE 49-59-4119 is a tungsten carbide tipped (TCT) annular cutter designed for fast, clean hole cutting in hard metal materials. The cutter features an advanced tooth geometry that simultaneously cuts, cleans, and clears chips while drilling, reducing heat buildup and extending tool life. At 1-3/16 inches in diameter and approximately 3.65 inches in length, it produces burr-free holes in demanding materials including stainless steel and cast iron. The 3/4-inch Weldon shank provides compatibility with most magnetic drill press setups. Licensed tradespeople and metal fabricators rely on this cutter for production and field work where hole quality and speed matter.
This annular cutter is intended for hard metal applications in both shop and field environments. Its thin-wall design displaces less material than standard twist drill bits of the same diameter, which translates to faster cycle times and reduced wear on the magnetic drill press. Typical applications include structural steel fabrication, pipe fitting, HVAC ductwork framing, and industrial maintenance work where clean, accurate holes are required in ferrous and hard non-ferrous metals. The pin recommended for use with this cutter is 49-59-0014.
Designed for use with magnetic drill presses equipped with a 3/4-inch Weldon shank arbor. Large magnetic drill presses require the correct arbor adapter for proper fitment.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist, metal fabricator, or tradesperson familiar with magnetic drill press equipment. Ensure the magnetic drill press is securely seated and the base magnet is fully engaged on a clean, flat ferrous surface before operation. Confirm the Weldon shank is properly seated and the set screw is fully tightened before applying power. Always wear appropriate eye and hand protection when operating annular cutters in metal.
