The MILWAUKEE 49-59-1437 is a high speed steel (HSS) annular cutter designed for drilling clean, fast holes in sheet metal and mild steel plate. The cutter features a thin-wall construction paired with an advanced tooth geometry that simultaneously cuts, cleans, and clears material during the drilling stroke. This reduces cutting resistance, produces burr-free holes, and extends tool life compared to standard twist drills or hole saws. The 3/4 inch Weldon shank makes it compatible with most small and large magnetic drill presses when used with the appropriate arbor. Magnetic drill operators and fabricators working in structural or sheet metal applications are the primary users.
This annular cutter is sized at 1 7/16 inch diameter, making it well suited for residential and commercial fabrication, ironwork, HVAC ductwork framing, and general structural steel applications. The thin-wall design displaces less material than conventional cutters of the same diameter, resulting in faster cycle times and reduced heat buildup in the workpiece. It is intended for use in mild steel applications and is sold as a single unit. The compatible pilot pin for this cutter is 49-59-0011.
Designed for use with most small magnetic drill presses and large magnetic drill presses equipped with a 3/4 inch Weldon shank arbor. Compatible pilot pin is 49-59-0011.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified fabricators or tradespeople familiar with magnetic drill press operation. Before changing or seating the cutter, ensure the drill press is powered down and the magnet is disengaged. Secure the Weldon shank firmly in the arbor chuck before operation, and always use the appropriate pilot pin to center the cutter on the workpiece. Use cutting fluid on the workpiece to reduce heat and extend cutter life.
