The MILWAUKEE 49-57-4750 is a threaded Steel Hawg annular cutter engineered for fast, clean hole cutting in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum. It features carbide teeth with an alternating cutting pattern that allows it to cut up to 3 times faster than conventional twist drill bits. The cutter produces holes up to 2 inches deep at a 4 3/4 inch diameter. A spring-loaded, self-ejecting pilot pin serves a dual purpose: it centers the cutter at the start of the cut and ejects the plug automatically once the cut is complete. This tool is designed for use with electromagnetic drill presses and is threaded with a M18 x 1.5 shank for secure arbor attachment.
This annular cutter is suited for commercial and industrial applications where accurate, repeatable large-diameter holes are required in ferrous and non-ferrous metal. It is commonly used in structural steel fabrication, mechanical and electrical rough-in work, and heavy equipment maintenance. The cutter is compatible with most electromagnetic drill presses. Specific compatibility includes Milwaukee arbor 49-57-0030 on the Milwaukee 4262-1 magnetic drill press, arbor 49-57-0010 on the Milwaukee 4292-1 mag press, and a No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010. Electricians, ironworkers, pipefitters, and HVAC mechanics working with heavy-gauge steel are the primary users.
Compatible with most electromagnetic drill presses. Verified arbor pairings from manufacturer data: use arbor 49-57-0030 with the Milwaukee 4262-1 magnetic drill press, arbor 49-57-0010 with the Milwaukee 4292-1 mag press, and No. 3 Morse taper arbor assembly 49-57-0010 for threaded Steel Hawg applications.
Installation and use of this annular cutter should be performed by qualified tradespeople familiar with electromagnetic drill press operation. Before mounting the cutter, ensure the drill press is powered off and the magnetic base is disengaged. Verify the arbor is fully seated and the threaded shank is securely tightened before beginning any cut. Always use appropriate cutting fluid on ferrous metals to reduce heat buildup and extend cutter life.
