The MILWAUKEE 48-40-0822 is a 40-tooth fine finish circular saw blade designed for clean, accurate cuts in wood-based materials. Built from 100% sheet steel using laser cutting technology, the blade maintains dimensional stability to improve cut accuracy on every pass. An alternate tooth bevel (ATB) pattern reduces tear-out on the cut face, making this blade well-suited for finish work where surface quality matters. The anti-friction coating keeps the blade running cool and resists corrosion and pitch buildup during extended use. The thin kerf design reduces material waste and lowers the load on the motor, extending battery runtime when used with cordless tools.
This blade is sized at 8.25 inches in diameter with a 5/8 inch arbor hole and a diamond knockout for compatibility with a range of saw spindle sizes. It is built for both cordless and corded circular saws and fits well in residential and light commercial carpentry, millwork, and trim applications. Material compatibility includes softwoods, hardwoods, melamine, MDF, veneered plywood, wet lumber, treated lumber, and laminated engineered wood products such as plywood, OSB, LVL, PSL, LSL, and OSL. Laser-cut polymer-filled vibration slots minimize wobble and warping during cuts, which is especially important when working with composite panels and sheet goods.
Designed for use with cordless and corded circular saws accepting an 8.25-inch blade with a 5/8 inch arbor. Compatible materials include softwoods, hardwoods, melamine, MDF, veneered plywoods, wet lumber, treated lumber, plywood, OSB, LVL, PSL, LSL, and OSL.
Blade installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified carpenter or tradesperson following the saw manufacturer's instructions. Disconnect power or remove the battery pack before changing the blade. Use the correct arbor wrench and blade clamp hardware specified for the saw model. Inspect the blade for cracks or missing teeth before each use and replace if damage is found.
