The MILWAUKEE 48-27-0751 is a flat boring bit designed to drill clean, fast holes in wood, plastic, plywood, and Formica. Manufactured from heat-treated high carbon steel, the drill point and cutting edges can be resharpened, extending service life and reducing replacement costs. The bit measures 3/4 inches in diameter with a 6-inch drilling depth, making it well suited for framing, electrical rough-in, and plumbing penetration work where clean hole geometry matters. Electricians, plumbers, and general contractors are the primary installers of this type of bit.
This flat boring bit is used in residential and light commercial construction for boring through studs, plates, joists, and sheet goods. It performs at any drilling angle, giving installers flexibility when working in tight framing bays or angled structural members. Drilling depth reaches 6 inches as supplied. For deeper runs, this bit is compatible with the 48-28-3350 extension, which extends reach to 12 inches for through-wall or multi-layer penetration applications.
Compatible with the MILWAUKEE 48-28-3350 drill bit extension for deep-hole applications requiring up to 12 inches of reach. Designed as a standard flat boring bit for use with 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch chuck corded and cordless drills.
This bit is installed and operated by electricians, plumbers, and carpenters performing rough-in drilling. Secure the workpiece before drilling and confirm there are no embedded fasteners or utility lines in the bore path. When boring at an angle or using an extension, reduce feed pressure to maintain hole cleanliness and prevent bit deflection. Follow applicable NEC or IPC clearance requirements when drilling near structural members or utility runs.
