The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES SS6410-12-12 is a straight extender adapter designed to connect 3/4-inch Male O-Ring Boss (MORB) to 3/4-inch Female O-Ring Boss (FORB) ports in hydraulic and fluid system plumbing. Manufactured from 316 stainless steel, this adapter measures 1.83 inches in length and is rated for operating temperatures up to 1000 degrees F, making it suitable for high-temperature fluid transfer applications. The O-ring boss configuration provides a leak-resistant metal-to-metal seat with an O-ring seal at each connection, reducing the chance of thread-induced leakage common in tapered fittings. Licensed plumbers, industrial pipe fitters, and hydraulic system technicians install this type of adapter when extending or transitioning between same-size ORB ports.
This adapter fits into the SS6410 Series of SAE O-Ring Boss fittings and is intended for use in stainless steel fluid systems where corrosion resistance and elevated temperature tolerance are required. Typical applications include hydraulic lines, high-pressure fluid transfer systems, and industrial plumbing installations where 316 stainless is specified for compatibility with aggressive media or sanitary requirements. The 1-1/16-12 thread specification on both ends conforms to SAE straight thread ORB standards.
Designed as an OEM-style SAE O-Ring Boss fitting for use in hydraulic and industrial fluid systems requiring 3/4-inch MORB to FORB straight adapter connections with 1-1/16-12 thread engagement.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber, pipefitter, or hydraulic technician familiar with SAE ORB fitting procedures. Always depressurize and drain the system before removing or installing any fitting. Inspect the O-ring seating surface for nicks or debris before assembly and verify the O-ring is properly seated to ensure a leak-free joint. Refer to applicable industry standards and system design specifications for torque and pressure requirements.
