The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES SS5605-02-02-02 is a three-way female pipe tee fitting machined from 316 stainless steel. It provides three 1/8-in Female NPTF ports arranged in a tee configuration, allowing a single line to be split or joined at one junction point. The 1/8-27 thread form and NPTF design create a pressure-tight mechanical seal without relying solely on thread sealant. Rated to 6500 psi maximum operating pressure and 1000 degrees F, this fitting is built for demanding fluid and gas distribution applications in industrial, HVAC, and process piping systems. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians typically specify this fitting where high pressure or high temperature rules out brass or carbon steel alternatives.
This tee is suited for residential and commercial installations where corrosion resistance, high-pressure capacity, and temperature tolerance are required. Common applications include instrumentation lines, hydraulic systems, steam service, chemical distribution, and refrigeration or HVAC manifold assemblies where a compact 1/8-in branch point is needed. Its 316 stainless steel construction makes it a reliable choice in environments with moisture, salt, or mild chemical exposure.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems requiring 1/8-in Female NPTF tee connections in 316 stainless steel pipe assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC and IFGC code requirements. Shut down system pressure and isolate the line before disassembling or installing any fitting. NPTF threads are designed to seal on the thread form, but thread sealant or PTFE tape compatible with the service fluid is commonly applied as additional insurance. Do not over-torque stainless steel fittings, as galling can occur; use appropriate anti-seize compound on threads when required by the service conditions.
