The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES SS5504-24-24 is a 90-degree female pipe elbow designed for high-pressure, high-temperature piping systems. Both ends feature 1-1/2-inch Female NPTF connections, making this a straight-size elbow suitable for tight directional changes in process and utility lines. Constructed from 316 stainless steel, the fitting is rated to 4600 psig maximum operating pressure and withstands temperatures up to 1000 degrees F. It carries a thread specification of 1-1/2 - 11-1/2 on both ports, conforming to standard NPTF taper thread dimensions. Compatibility

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or plumber familiar with NPTF thread assembly and applicable codes such as the IPC or ASME B31 piping standards. Shut off and fully depressurize the system before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant rated for the operating pressure, temperature, and fluid type before threading the fitting into place. Do not over-torque NPTF connections, as this can cause thread distortion or fitting failure.
