The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES SS43-04-06MP is a straight rigid crimp hose adapter designed for high-performance fluid and gas transfer applications. This fitting connects a 1/4-inch crimp hose end to a 3/8-inch male NPT port in a single inline configuration. Constructed from 316 stainless steel, it delivers strong corrosion resistance in demanding environments including chemical exposure, saltwater, and high-temperature service. The adapter carries an operating temperature rating of 1000 degrees F and uses a 3/8-18 NPT thread form. At 2.011 inches in length, it is a compact, rigid fitting suited for tight plumbing runs. Plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this fitting type.
This adapter is intended for use with crimp hoses in hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and fluid transfer systems where stainless steel construction is specified. It is part of the Midland Industries 43 Series, which covers straight male pipe rigid crimp hose fittings. Typical install scenarios include industrial process piping, marine plumbing, chemical handling systems, and any application where NPT-threaded ports must terminate to a flexible crimp hose assembly. The 316 stainless steel alloy makes it well suited for corrosive or sanitary service conditions.
Designed for use with crimp hoses. Part of the Midland Industries 43 Series of straight male pipe rigid crimp hose fittings. Consult the Midland Industries 43 Series selection guide for full hose and system compatibility details.
This fitting is typically installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or qualified industrial maintenance technicians. Shut off all system pressure and depressurize the line completely before removing or installing any hose adapter. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPT threads in accordance with the applicable piping code before making up the connection. Do not over-torque the NPT threads; thread engagement should follow standard NPT hand-tight-plus-turns practice per IPC or IFGC guidelines as appropriate for the application.
