The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES SS2404-06-06 is a male-to-male hydraulic adapter machined from 316 stainless steel, connecting a 3/8-inch Male JIC (9/16-18 thread) to a 3/8-inch Male NPTF (3/8-18 thread) fitting. Built to ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 dimensional standards, it handles up to 7,800 psig operating pressure and is rated for service up to 1,000 degrees F. At 1.44 inches in length and under a tenth of a pound, it is a compact, high-performance transition fitting suited for hydraulic lines, fuel systems, and high-pressure fluid transfer applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and hydraulic technicians install this type of adapter in demanding industrial and mobile equipment environments.
This adapter is used wherever a JIC flare fitting must mate with a male NPTF pipe thread. Typical installations include hydraulic power units, fluid transfer manifolds, high-pressure fuel and oil lines, and industrial machinery requiring leak-free, corrosion-resistant connections. The 06 hose dash size designation indicates compatibility with 3/8-inch hose assemblies. The SS2404 series is designed for applications where stainless steel is required for corrosion resistance or elevated-temperature service.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit adapter for hydraulic and fluid systems requiring a 3/8-inch Male JIC to 3/8-inch Male NPTF transition in stainless steel construction, part of the SS2404 series.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified hydraulic technician. Depressurize and drain the hydraulic or fluid system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Apply appropriate thread sealant compatible with the system fluid and pressure rating on the NPTF side only - JIC flare connections rely on metal-to-metal sealing and do not require tape or paste sealant. Torque fittings using calibrated wrenches and verify for leaks before returning the system to service.
