The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES SS1501-24-24 is a 90-degree swivel elbow fitting designed for high-pressure fluid and gas piping systems. It connects a 1-1/2-inch Male NPTF end to a 1-1/2-inch Female NPSM swivel end, allowing rotational adjustment after assembly to simplify line routing. Constructed from 316 stainless steel, it is rated for up to 5000 psig maximum operating pressure and withstands operating temperatures up to 1000 degrees F. This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial mechanics working on demanding piping assemblies where corrosion resistance and pressure integrity are critical.
The SS1501-24-24 is suited for industrial, commercial, and heavy-duty process piping applications where stainless steel fittings are required for corrosion resistance or sanitary compliance. The swivel design is especially practical in tight or congested installations where fixed elbows would be difficult to align. Thread sizes on both ends are 1-1/2 inch with an 11-1/2 threads-per-inch pitch, consistent with standard pipe thread sizing. This fitting is part of the SS1501 Series, which covers male pipe to female pipe swivel elbow configurations in stainless steel.
Part of the MIDLAND INDUSTRIES SS1501 Series of male pipe to female pipe swivel elbows. Designed as an OEM-style stainless steel swivel elbow fitting for 1-1/2-inch NPTF and NPSM threaded piping systems in industrial and commercial applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or certified pipefitter following applicable codes such as the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or relevant ASME piping standards. Shut down and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Use appropriate thread sealant rated for the service pressure and temperature. Do not over-torque threaded connections, and verify that the swivel joint moves freely after assembly before returning the system to service.
