The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES M10DC-162 is a two-bridge double bolt clamp designed for securing hoses, ducts, and flexible couplings in demanding industrial and trade applications. Built from steel with a silver zinc-plated finish, this Maxiclamp Series clamp accepts a nominal range of 162 to 174 mm and provides a minimum clamping diameter of 6.38 inches and a maximum of 6.85 inches. The double-bolt design distributes clamping force evenly across both bridge points, reducing the risk of distortion on softer hose materials. It is installed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and mechanical contractors who need a reliable, corrosion-resistant clamp for medium to large diameter connections.
This clamp is suited for residential and commercial installations where a secure, vibration-resistant connection is required on larger-diameter flexible hose or duct assemblies. The two-bridge configuration makes it a preferred choice in applications where single-bolt clamps may not provide adequate holding force. Its steel construction handles the mechanical stress common in HVAC ducting, exhaust routing, and fluid transfer systems. The zinc plating offers protection in mildly corrosive environments typical of mechanical rooms and outdoor installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-purpose clamp for large-diameter hose and duct connections in the 162 to 174 mm nominal range, consistent with Maxiclamp Series T-bolt double bolt applications.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, or mechanical contractors using standard hand tools and a torque wrench. Always shut off and depressurize the system before removing or installing clamps on pressurized lines. Do not exceed the rated operating torque of 30 N-m during installation, as over-tightening can damage hose materials or deform the clamp bridge. Follow applicable mechanical and plumbing codes for the jurisdiction in which the work is performed.
