The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES LF29S-4 is a straight hose barb splicer fitting made from lead-free brass. It connects two lengths of hose with matching 1/4-inch barbed ends on each side, creating a secure inline splice. The fitting measures 0.37 inches in outer diameter and 2 inches in length, with a maximum operating pressure of 150 psi and an operating temperature range of -40 to 200 degrees F. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system installers use this type of fitting when joining hose runs in tight or repair situations where a continuous hose must be extended or a damaged section replaced.
This splicer is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC, and general fluid-handling applications where a 1/4-inch hose line must be rejoined. Its lead-free brass construction makes it appropriate for potable water and other applications with material compliance requirements. The fitting is designed for use with hose clamps, similar-style clamps, or crimped ferrules, giving the installer flexibility in securing the hose ends to the barbs based on the application and available tooling.
Designed for use with 1/4-inch hose lines secured by hose clamps, similar-type clamps, or crimped ferrules. Suitable for inline splice applications in plumbing, HVAC, and general fluid-handling systems.
Installation is performed by plumbers or HVAC technicians. Shut off fluid supply and relieve line pressure before cutting or disconnecting any hose. Insert each barbed end fully into the hose before applying a clamp or crimped ferrule to ensure a leak-free connection. Follow applicable local plumbing codes when used in potable water systems.
