The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES LF29-24 is a rigid hose barb adapter machined from lead-free brass. It connects a 1/8-inch hose barb on one end to a 1/4-inch male pipe thread (MPT) on the other, providing a secure transition between flexible hose and threaded pipe or fitting. The adapter measures 1.16 inches in length with a 0.56-inch hex for wrench engagement. It handles operating pressures up to 150 psi and performs across a temperature range of -40 to 160 degrees F. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system installers use this type of adapter where a hose line must terminate at a threaded port.
This adapter is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC, and fluid-transfer applications where a small-diameter hose must connect to a 1/4-inch MPT port. It is designed for use with a hose clamp, similar style clamp, or a crimped ferrule to secure the hose end. The lead-free brass construction meets requirements for potable water and other applications where low lead content is mandated.
Designed for use with hose clamp, similar type clamp, or a crimped ferrule on the 1/8-inch hose barb end; the 1/4-inch MPT end threads into any standard 1/4-inch female pipe thread (FPT) port.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician. Shut off the fluid supply and relieve system pressure before fitting installation. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MPT threads in accordance with applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC. Secure the hose end with an appropriately rated clamp or crimped ferrule before returning the system to service.
