The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES HAM100-600-NUT is a FIG 100 hammer union wing nut designed for 6-inch hammer union assemblies rated at 1000 psi. Constructed from steel with a black finish, this wing nut is the hand-tightened connecting component that locks the male and female halves of a hammer union together. It is used in high-pressure fluid transfer applications across oilfield, industrial, and water transfer service. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and oilfield service technicians are the primary installers. At 16.485 pounds, this is a heavy-duty component built for repeated field use under demanding pressure conditions.
This wing nut is suited for 6-inch FIG 100 hammer union configurations operating at pressures up to 1000 psi. FIG 100 unions are commonly found in temporary and permanent piping systems used in water transfer, hydraulic fracturing support lines, and general industrial hose-to-pipe connections. The part is compatible with other FIG 100 series hammer union bodies and tail pieces of the same connection size. It is typically installed in field and facility environments where fast assembly and disassembly of pressure lines is required.
Designed for use with FIG 100 series hammer union assemblies at 6-inch connection size and 1000 psi rated service. Compatible components include matching FIG 100 male and female union bodies of equivalent size.
Installation and removal should be performed by qualified pipefitters or licensed tradespeople familiar with high-pressure piping systems. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before making up or breaking out any hammer union connection. Inspect the wing nut seating surface and union seal ring for wear or damage before each assembly. Use a hammer or mallet only on the wing nut lugs, never on the body of the union, to avoid deforming sealing surfaces.
