The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES FS650044 is a 90-degree swivel nut elbow designed for steel hydraulic line assemblies. It connects a 9/16-18 male O-Ring Face Seal (ORFS) fitting to a 7/16-20 female ORFS swivel port, allowing a right-angle transition while maintaining a leak-resistant, face-seal connection. The swivel nut design simplifies installation by letting the nut rotate independently, reducing torque transfer to connected hose or tubing. Rated for operation up to 375 degrees F, this adapter is built for demanding hydraulic circuits found in industrial and mobile equipment. It is typically installed by hydraulic technicians and mechanical maintenance professionals.
The FS650044 is suited for use in steel hydraulic plumbing systems where a 90-degree directional change is required between an ORFS male port and an ORFS swivel female port. Common applications include mobile hydraulic equipment, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and industrial hydraulic power units. The swivel nut elbow is part of the FS6500 Series, covering MORFS to FORFS swivel elbow configurations. Its compact envelope dimensions keep routing tight in congested machine frames.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-build fitting for steel hydraulic systems requiring a 9/16-18 male ORFS to 7/16-20 female ORFS swivel elbow connection. Part of the FS6500 Series of MORFS to FORFS swivel elbows.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician. Depressurize and bleed the hydraulic system fully before removing or installing any fittings. Inspect the O-ring seating face on both mating ports for nicks or contamination before assembly, as face-seal integrity depends on clean, undamaged surfaces. Torque to the fitting manufacturer specification for the applicable thread and material class; do not over-tighten, as this can damage the O-ring or distort the sealing face.
